There are nine boats in the fleet ranging from 2 berth up to 12 berth, giving something to suit all needs and budgets. All are named after the University colleges in Oxford and are painted Oxford blue. Each boat is different and each one has a character of its own
Exeter is a 65ft narrow boat with a very flexible layout, carefully designed to comfortably sleep 2 to 10 people.
Hertford is a 40ft/12.5m semi trad narrow boat and offers accommodation for a crew of two to four. The boat has often been involved in creating wonderful memories for honeymooners and those wanting to celebrate a special date with their significant other.
Magdalen is a 57ft (17.4m) cruiser stern narrow boat, very well designed and fitted out in ash. It will happily accommodate 2 to 8 people. The boat’s sleeping arrangements are flexible and comfortable.
Somerville is a 50ft (15.2m) semi trad. narrow boat, which has been newly refitted in ash to an exceptional standard. The boat is very light and airy and the rear deck has two fitted seats.
Balliol has been cleverly designed to suit lots of needs. It is good for friends or a family giving you a lot of options and comfort.
Brasenose is 70 feet long and has a lot of flexibility which means she can cater for a group of 12 on a party, 2/3 families wanting a get-together, any large group or just a very spacious boat for a family.
Our most compact boat. Cosy, comfortable and a must if you are looking for a few days away with the one you love!
This is a very comfortable boat for a crew of two or up to eight, with flexible sleeping accommodation to suit the size of your crew.
Trinity is a 50ft (15.1m) narrow boat with a semi traditional stern deck, an excellent boat for a family or two couples, or just two of you, wanting to have a short break in Oxford on the canal and the River Thames.
Each comfortable boat at College Cruisers has:

On your arrival you will find your canal cruising boat all ready and waiting for you, all fixed beds are made in advance with duvets and good quality linen. Extra pillows and blankets are always available on request, as are cot-sides for those smaller members of the crew, which ensures that nothing will go bump in the night. Handling Your Boat / Rules of the Water, etc.
It is in our interests as well as yours to ensure that you are confident and happy with the handling of your boat before you leave us for your canal cruising holiday, that is why we are members of the APCO Handover Scheme. For those of you new to this fun, we will guide you through the first stages on board, take you through a lock and explain in great detail the Do’s and Don’ts of canal cruising. Don’t worry about this part of the canal cruising holiday – we will have fun together! You may be interested to know that over 50% of our customers are first-timers.
